Size and Detail
Think roughly how big you want your tattoo to be, and the most crucial elements in it. Tattoo size has a massive impact on how much detail can be put in. I prefer to design with longevity in mind - for example, a tiny realism portrait will look good for a few years, but they often age poorly. Tattoos soften a little over time and minute details in too small an area can end up muddying up. It is your choice as the client but I will always give you honest advice on whether I believe a tattoo will stand the test of time, whether you should consider bigger or smaller, etc.

Time and Spacing
Larger tattoos can be thought of as projects - they will take planning and patience. Some very large and intricate tattoos are completed over appointments months apart. These are not to be rushed and should be given the time and attention they deserve. Tattooing the next session too early can cause damage to the skin - it is always best to allow the skin to heal enough before continuing.

Affordability
If you have a monthly budget, let me know! We can split your tattoo into sessions that you can afford. For example, if you can afford 2 hours of tattooing per month, we can plan around that and take it one session at a time. A tattoo is an investment for life and I want to remain as flexible as possible for all my clients.
