Policies
I hold some policies to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone. Please take a moment to read these policies before booking. By making a booking you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these policies.
Legal Age of Consent
By law I cannot tattoo anyone under the age of the 18. Parental consent is not accepted. I operate a Think 25 policy for the safety of clients and myself - if you are under 25 I am likely to ID you, PLEASE bring ID. If ID is not presented, unfortunately I cannot tattoo you.
Children in the Studio
I do not allow anyone under 16 in the studio. Please arrange childcare for your tattoo appointment.
Deposits
I may ask for a deposit. ALL deposits are non-refundable. This secures your appointment and tells me you are committed - no-shows can be financially disastrous for tattoo artists and this is a measure we take to protect ourselves. If you cancel without rescheduling, your deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee. This is because your appointment slot could have been spent working with another client. Your deposit goes towards your overall tattoo price.
Consultations and Estimates
Simple pieces and smaller tattoos are usually able to be booked without in-person consultation. We can often decide on these tattoos together via message. Larger more complex pieces may suit an in-person consultation. Consultations are free and are a great opportunity to check out the studio, meet me, and come up with a personalised design idea. Once the consultation is complete, if you are happy to go ahead and have me begin your design work, I may ask to secure your booking with a deposit (see above).
Session estimates are ESTIMATES ONLY. I may give you an estimate of 2 or 3 sessions for example - this is only an estimate and may be more or less. Placement, skin type and client pain tolerance can make estimates vary widely.
Touch-ups
Sometimes ink can come out of the skin during healing, for many reasons. This can be unavoidable and is part of tattooing, therefore I offer free touch-ups within 6 months.
EXCEPTIONS: Common problem areas - these are hands, fingers, feet and toes - are not included in the free touch-up policy and generally require a payable touch-up at the studio minimum.
Cancellations and Late Arrivals
Cancelling your tattoo without rescheduling will forfeit your deposit (see above), regardless of the reason for cancellation. Please be on time - being late means I might have to cut your appointment short (I often have a client booked in after you), require another session, or reschedule your appointment altogether.
Altering Designs
I can alter slight design elements on the day (shading, a bit of colour, etc.) at my discretion, however major design alterations may require additional tattooing hours or rescheduling.
Risks
Tattooing has potential risks, including but not limited to infection, allergic reaction, swelling, scarring, keloids, bloodborne disease, ink migration and other complications. I follow strict health and safety measures during tattooing to mitigate the possibility of these complications.
